Prompt 191
So. Apparently immortality does in fact exist. And is apparently very easily accidentally achieved, if the fact an entire city has it now.
The GIW will be waiting a very long time to be able to drop that ghost shield, because the city doesn’t seem to be dying out anytime soon. Or at all actually. It’s been several generations now.
They might need to request assistance. Maybe before others start to investigate now that vigilantes are becoming a semi-common thing.

The Animus Vitrum Timeline
Animus Vitrum is a WIP project that I've had for a few years (you'll find it tagged on this blog and on @cinalilli under #anivi, #animus vitrum, #seades, #seasonal depression (the former name). It has a few splintered-off stories, casts, and timelines that I couldn't possibly hope to cover within the main scope of the story as a whole, all detailed below the cut.
I change things up a lot, but the vibe of the world of Tela has begun to solidify since 2019 into something with a shape. This is the shape it's in currently.
Animus Vitrum's calendar is based on a Tapestry created by the ineffable Weaver and their attendants, the Threadbearers. Each stitch and running thread is made from the fibers that make reality, time, and space. The Tapestry functions as historical record of events (to levels of detail that are somewhat inscrutable, sometimes even to the scholarly eye), a means of seeing events as they come together, and a means of divining the future as threads are spun into being.
WIP 1: [no official name], featuring Malachi Practice, snake oil salesman, and the Reptilarium
Humanity didn't appear on the world of Tela until a few thousand years into its recorded existence, Year 5036 in accordance with the Tapestry. On Earth, in the year 1816, an eccentric's house of reptiles, the guests, surrounding grounds, and resident animals were transported to the hostile magical land of Tela, where the powers-that-be (gods, fae, the land-lords, whatever term you want to use) began to take to hunting humans for sport, while others would endow them with immense magical abilities to help them survive. Some would only help the lizards, creating megafauna and intelligent reptilian creatures living alongside the humans of Earth.
This project follows (trustworthy, non-charlatan, reputable salesman of reptile-based tinctures and cures) Malachi Practice on his quest to hunt a particular creature thus effected for its physical properties.
WIP 2: [no official name], featuring Log Helfeather, son of the Bloodmaker and the Homunculus
After a few hundred years of moving around and being systematically toyed with by the landlords, humanity has begun to splinter into subspecies in order to survive. Most of these resemble stock fantasy races: elfs form contracts with lesser spirits that give them access to magic in exchange for caring for them, huldra can survive underground as a result of the first group of huldra being blessed with an Internal Light that keeps the swarming dark abated, and the vitra can turn the hearts of any living creature into glass that magic can be conducted through. Using these newfound adaptations to their new home, in the year 5600 they unseat the Seelie Queen and the Unseelie King, kicking off a war that resulted in humanity carving out a place of their own to survive in civilization.
This project is very new! In response to WIP 4, it focuses on Yule's brother, Log, as he goes backwards in time to meet the earliest traveling Worldsingers in a coming-of-age story about ancestry, remembering the past, and how it can help guide the future.
WIP 3: Animus Vitrum
Hundreds years still pass, and in the year 7386 the shadow of the former Unseelie King Ozymandius, who continues to cling to a point far off at the end of the Tapestry as his promised apocalypse, begins to rise again, summoning the last of his tools and lieutenants to service. Autumn Saffworth, the daughter of a long line of vitra, is herself born without a heart, her family offering it up to the Bloodmaker, the old King's fearsome necromancer spirit. As she learns to navigate this contract with a being she never asked to have, resisting the pull towards Ozymandius's side, she meets Vernon Helfeather: an unassuming boy that is more than what he seems. Vernon is a homunculus, created as a last-measure by Ozymandius at the end of the previous era's war, both as a breakthrough in humanity's ability to create sentient life through heartglass technology and as a potential way to end it at any cost. Together, they help each other discover their own agency and fight back against their destinies to end everything.
WIP 4: SLEIKIR and the Winter Court
Thousands of years pass, so much that the roots of the world have since eroded beyond recognition as technology and magic blend into indistinguishability. The year is 14131 and Tela has fallen into a state of nuclear winter, ruled by the Winter King's court in Hearthstone, the new capital of the world. The Winter King is a vampyr, a flame-themed vampire that subsists on Heat, the currency of this new world. Workers toil eternally in a world without day or night, only waking and sleep, for scraps of heat to earn all of their day-to-day needs. Sleep in particular is a rare luxury, with different dreaming packages available offering experiences and memories and revelries that our hero begins to learn how to manipulate free of cost.
Yule Helfeather, daughter of Autumn and Vernon, runs away from home and plunges into the Tapestry in a bullheaded display to show off her own abilities, landing herself in a future that she can never return from, at least the short way around. The story is a cyberpunk romp about her toxic romance with the Pietr, who turns out to be the Winter Prince, and betrays her as soon as he tires of her. Yule seeks revenge, and with the power of gay love and Monster Energy, she sets out to topple his empire.

Graduation NPCs ranked by how much I trust them
most trustworthy:
Rainer Michelle: even if she wasn’t the light of my life, Balance made me emotionally incapable of saying that I distrust any given necromancer
Leon: just wants to protect Buckminster! but lower on the trust continuum than Rainer because he may or may not be vulnerable to a certain someone’s brainwashing
The red-eyed figure in the Unknown Forest: are they potentially a shadow demon? yes. do I love them very much anyway? also yes.
I’d be genuinely torn in a game of Trust or Forsake:
Buckminster Eden: openly admits to being a piece of shit, but cares about Leon, but is also the son of the “Iron Lord” and I just can’t trust anyone related to someone with a name like that
Festo: they’re just here to party and dance with crabs! they have no ambitions! but they are a fae so even though they’re probably not planning any overarching sinister plots, I still wouldn’t eat any food they offer you
Gary: a good good gargoyle hivemind boy, but also can be hacked
they’d be the designated sketchy characters in most stories, but this story has so many sketchy characters that they’ve found themselves outdone:
Groundsy: there’s gotta be something in his hut and I’ve got a feeling it’s not just lawnmowers
the “Kingdom of Goodcastle”: run-of-the-mill Fantasy Nigerian Prince scam, or funding/recruiting organization for something more sinister?
Rolandus Fontaine: might just be a normal asshole, but he’s supposedly aware of Goodcastle not to mention a paladin, which has the potential for some very dark subclasses/oaths
Mosh, Dakota, Ramos, and the rest of the Unbroken Chain: in a secret society and therefore almost guaranteed to be up to some shady shit, and I’m forty-five percent convinced that they worked so hard to induct Argo not just because of his mom, but also because of his proximity to Fitzroy
oh dear gods what the hell are you planning:
Jackle: just because you knew Argo’s mom doesn’t mean you’re off the hook, you sneaky bird man. every time you mimic Argo’s voice I get big manipulation vibes and I’ve got my eyes on you
Higglemas Wiggenstaff: I’m honestly very conflicted just placing him even a few places above Rock Bottom Trust Level because the end of Episode 7 was a Lot Of Shit, but also all throughout his conversation with Fitzroy my “sketchy old man with a million secrets but surprisingly good intentions” sense was going off like crazy, so... I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. I’ll probably regret this.
Hieronymous Wiggenstaff: even lower than his brother on the trust scale solely because the big bad of the arc having a name that sounds like “hero” would be some A+ irony and I can’t just ignore that
HIGGLEMAS’S FUCKING DOG: WHY DID HIGG WANT THE FIRBOLG TO LOOK AT IT? WHY IS IT SO SUSPICIOUSLY WELL-TRAINED? WHY IS IT DRINKING TEA? I DON’T TRUST LIKE THIS!

STORY MASTERLIST
A (not so) comprehensive list of all the things I write about, all of which are subject to change at any given time because I do a lot of refactoring!
LOOOOONG POST INCOMING I write... a LOT, and I have... MANY projects :) Feel free to ask me about any of them! :)
With love <3 Continue reading below the cutoff if you want to know the basic rundown of my worlds and works!
ANGELVERSE:
This universe encompasses all of the angels and demons I like to focus on. Works in the angelverse will likely be about Faraday (formerly known as Efrem), a demon lieutenant, Ezekiel, a young angel, the archangel Uriel, or angel Raguel / angel Sophia (their stories are intertwined).
The main concept I have on Angelverse surrounds Faraday, who has grown into himself as a demon and made something of himself. He finds it impossible to shake who he was before. The question comes up during an important meeting between Heaven and Hell of whether he is truly Faraday or Efrem, his own self that he has shakily become, or the self he inherited from being his father’s son. There’s also brotherly angst between Faraday and Ezekiel, who refuses to let go of the past. (If you look at my old works tagged ‘ezekiel,’ you’ll see Ezekiel used to be a part of Faraday/his ‘ideal’ self, which is why new Ezekiel, separate from Faraday, reads so differently.)
The Raguel and Sophia stories are also closely linked to characters Andromeda and possibly Zachariah. Andromeda’s father runs a cult and has captured an angel in his attic. When Andromeda finds the angel (Sophia), her otherwise “normal” life is thrown into disarray as she starts unraveling threads about her father’s actions as a cult leader. If Zachariah is to be a part of it, he would be living with Andromeda’s family, having run away from his past.
Prominent characters in Angelverse include: Faraday, Uriel, Ezekiel, Stena, Michael, Ramiel, Raguel, Sophia, Zachariah, Ambriel, Ruhiel, Gabriel, Raphael, Luci, Bee, Sasha, Saoirse, and Heather. With the exception of Sophia, all names ending with “el” are angels, while the rest are demons. Also, I say prominent, but like half of these characters are from a bygone era (2018 when I first created them).
TW/CW for heavy religious (Christian) imagery, emotional abuse, violence, transphobia mentions and cult talk. Additional content warning because I tend to write angels as LGBT, but I recognize that some people are not comfortable with this affiliation with Christianity.
LUXTRURA (NOTE: LUXTRURA IS ON PERMANENT HIATUS):
Luxtrura is the name of a fictional country in ye olde European fantasy style, and I haven’t thought of a title for the WIP yet, so I mainly tag it ‘luxtrura’ or ‘luxtruran trio.’ This WIP is a fantasy / dystopian / political intrigue about an uprising in the kingdom of Luxtrura run by an inexperienced king and corrupt nobles all vying for the crown.
Luxtrura (at the current moment) follows the life of His Majesty Devron Fharren, the Eighth Fharren King, who inherited the crown by kingdom decrees at the age of 21. Unlike most kings, Devron has only had seven years of proper royal tutelage on statecraft, having only been named heir to the throne when he was 14. He soon finds he has inherited a kingdom that has been deeply wounded, that his people hate him, and that he has few allies among his own country’s nobles, his friends, and neighboring royalty. Revolution is brewing, and he has a choice to make: to claim his birthright or to help his people.
Prominent characters include: Devron Fharren, Eden Barison, Mili Starr, Plumeria Rwalke, Lilia Tao, Rassaya Tao, Andrea (a mysterious stranger who gives only her first name), Jakob Fiyre, Cordelia Fiyre, Liseline Fiyre, Sonja, and Orange and Rouse (the dragons).
TW/CW for violence, sexual assault mentions, transphobia mentions, political talk, blatant classism, and death.
GLOWING EYES:
A “what-if” scenario where Victor Frankenstein and Dorian Gray had met and become friends and also Frankenstein wasn’t a man and was named Viola and was not a pleb weakling like Victor. Also Dorian Gray is fat because I said so.
This story reimagines the Frankenstein and Dorian Gray cast as students in their final year of the prestigious University of Ingolstadt, with Frankenstein having returned from a year off during which she was suspended for [redacted] reasons. The vibe we’re going for is dark academia, but I don’t think they ever actually do any learning?
Prominent characters include: Viola Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, Elizabeth Lavenza, Henry Clerval, Basil Hallward, Deukalion, and special shoutout to Justine Moritz and Sibyl Vane because I didn’t want to put them in, but they definitely deserved better in the source material.
TW/CW for death, violence, toxic/obsessive relationships, grave-robbing, body part mentions (eyes, limbs, etc), and mentions of the Devil. Basically, if it was a concerning part of either the Frankenstein or Dorian Gray stories, it will still be concerning.
Fun fact, there is a Glowing Eyes playlist that I am NOT too ashamed to share with the public! :D
HELEN OF LEGEND:
A retelling of the Helen of Sparta story that explores Helen’s thoughts and motivations. Who was the woman behind the face that launched a thousand ships? And did she ever even want those ships to be launched? (Spoiler alert: the answer is no.)
Helen of Legend gets pretty heavy handed because I get really mad about people lauding the Greeks as the end all be all of culture, and I’m still really mad about how people dress Millie Bobby Brown up like she’s 25-40, so make of that what you will.
On the bright side, Helen of Legend is a sapphic retelling!
Prominent characters include: Helen, Leda, Menelaus, Clytemnestra, Penelope, Theseus, Aphrodite, Paris, Cassandra, Hector, and Hecuba.
TW/CW for misogyny, implied past sexual assault, sexual assault mentions, mentions of spousal and emotional abuse, people being generally creepy about bodies, people being creepy toward children (Theseus), cities burning, subtle classism, and death.
OF DANCERS AND DREAMERS:
A musical about Anne-Marie, a non-binary Vietnamese lesbian born into a wealthy family, and Jules, a Tunisian baker’s daughter who is working her way into the Paris ballet. Anne-Marie wants to be a designer, but their mother, Mme Trinh, has other plans. The year is 1884, and it was hard for the Trinh family, as immigrants, to establish their foothold in society, and Mme Trinh will not have her child throw away the family’s hard work. One day, while at the ballet, Anne-Marie becomes smitten with Jules, a ballerina with the most dazzling smile. They find solace in sharing their passions with one another and become friends, each eventually realizing they have fallen for the other in a time that is unfriendly to both of them.
Prominent characters include: Anne-Marie, Jules, Victor, Mme Trinh, and Amandine.
TW/CW for subtle homophobia, classism, mental illness, and parental guilt tripping/emotional toxicity.
THE LYRE EFFECT:
A play about life after death, and what it means to live and love. This play follows Patroclus upon his death, desperate to return to Achilles. He meets the reluctant Eurydice, embittered by decades alone in limbo halfway between life and death. Together, they almost throw someone off a boat (is it really murder if they’re already dead?) and have a chance to tell their stories, stepping out from the shadows of their more famous lovers.
I took a lot of liberties with this, so Orpheus is a woman (wlw OrphEurydice), and I would like for both Achilles and Patroclus to be played by trans men, and for all of the characters to be played by non-white actors.
Prominent characters include: Patroclus, Eurydice, Achilles, Orpheus, Apollo, Hades, Charon
TW/CW for talk about death
SPEED ROUND (OR: THINGS I WRITE ABOUT THAT AREN’T AS AMBITIOUS JUST YET/AT THE CURRENT MOMENT):
Here Lies Forever - a story focusing around two young people, Medb Flaherty and Virgil Sutherland, growing up at an orphanage amid war, abandonment, and sickness. Medb is a blind writer who dreams of traveling the world with Virgil, her best friend since their teen years, but when the war strikes too close to home, Virgil leaves Medb and their peaceful student life behind to join the army. Unwilling to let go, and recognizing the pain Virgil is in, Medb takes it upon herself to save Virgil, the both of them haunted by the ghosts of their pasts.
On the Corner of Maple Street - short stories about the lives of Sarah and Evangeline together, two lesbian women who met when Sarah was 28 and Evangeline was 31. Sarah was a toy maker and Evangeline was an actress. They have a son named Oliver, who’s now in his forties, and they’re grandmas to all the neighborhood children. They live on the corner of Maple Street :)
Partager Un Reve - short stories, often romantic, about two circus performers, Alyona Ledbedeva (who does aerial silks) and Li Mey Ri (an acrobat). They’re cute together, there’s not really much to say here.
Claire  - there’s a really old novelette floating around on my account and you can find it if you search Claire, but like it’s OLD. An 18th century French lady who contracted TB and died but was brought back by a necromancer named Cecil (Cecil is the character of my friend @sinnabon-cosplay !) and is now immortal. Fun times with Claire and Anthony usually involve lamenting the fact that they’re stuck as teenagers.
Miscellaneous - miscellaneous demon and monster characters like Alexander, Felicity (both vampires), Sparrow (succubus/Heather’s youngest sister), Zephyr (fae, husband of Spar), Lycan (she’s... a werewolf), and so on. Not really connected to a plot
Performing Possumhood - uh this was a play I wrote with my friend @holdingonmyheartlikeahandgrenade for a 24 hour play festival, it’s about a guy named Thomas who becomes herald for a kingdom and then on his first day of work, the king dies, and his son becomes king, except the new king??? is a possum???? and like no one does anything about it, so Thomas just feels like he’s going insane, poor guy (also everyone else is named Thomas except the king, whose name is His Majesty King Parthur Pencildragon of Alpacalot)
Nordic questing team - I’ve literally written nothing for these fools, but I’m tempted to make it into a dnd campaign! The characters I have are Val (short for Valnotte) (she’s a nokke), Hanne (human poison seller who wears an eyepatch just because), Fur (short for Bjorgolfur, he’s a werewolf who left his pack because he was too good at being alpha wolf but he didn’t want to be alpha, he wanted to press flowers and have a cute little cottage by a cliffside with a pretty garden damn it), and Bo (full name: Boscobel Blue, he’s a cow boy. Literally. He has cow ears and a big septum piercing and a tail. Also he’s a shepherd. His sheep are carnivorous :))) Make of that what you will)
Alice x Secret Garden - another play but where Alice Liddell and Mary Lennox are 18 years old and find themselves in Wonderland, after Mary is jaded from the end of WW1 and is frustrated at her friend Dickon’s marriage proposal, and Alice runs away, trying to retain her childhood as best she can
Retellings - I do myth and fairy tale and folk retellings! :) You can search ‘Tithonia’ for my sleeping beauty retelling, and I wrote Orpheus and Eurydice a while back. Still working my way through Icarus :’) Also ‘Mermaids Can’t See’ is a retelling of the classic mermaid story but written as a ??? field guide? journal entry? notes about mermaids?
If there’s a work you want specifically about a character, I always tag characters, and I also will tag character introductions and pictures/references of them as “beanpuff char[]”!

To keep going off of the anon who was asking about the supernatural AU stuff. Do you think Hawks could be something like a griffon? Like they are guardians and tend to be loyal and different things plus tbh Hawks kinda over all reminds me of kinda a lazy lion that can fuck shit up if he wants to. But maybe that's just my vibes. Also I LOVED hito as a necromancer but imagine him as a Fae as well. Like idk he gives off those mysterious vibes to me and also imagine him with like fae magic like damn
Finally someone normal thank you anon I love you please stay with me for a while please-
When I think of the modern magic au, I kinda wanted to do something different from like a fantasy au or fairy tales au that I also love to do. It’s really a world of its own that I expanded on I supposed?
Tbh I’ve thought about that but that just seems kinda like an obvious choice because of his wings which although I really like the idea, I’m a little shit who tried to be “unique” and runs away from what people would have expect in the same way I avoided dragon!kiribaku in the au. But I definitely see the carefreeness being a key element in Keigo’s portrayal in whatever he is in and I love “lazy lion that will fuck shit up” lol
I’m glad that people like him as a necromancer! Faes are very interesting creatures aren’t they? There’s so much possibilities and they’re kinda just like humans but with magical powers of some sort, each with their own storiesnand personalities. If anything, Shinsou would definitely be one of those who live deep in the woods and prefer staying in the shadows I feel like, that aesthetic just fits. I definitely plan to go back to bby necromaner toshi in the future and I want to write more about him using his magic so much!

idontevenknowhowmanyanonsivesenttoday but uH im just curious,, for all the boys,, how would you help your best friend/ s/o through an anxiety attack or just when they’re nervous/anxious in general,,? (( also pls don’t feel obligated to answer this right away or even at all if you don’t feel comfortable with answering smthn like this lol)) ,, — goodnight K and the boys, sleep well 😚😚 - chaotic anon🌌🖤🌌
((You can send in as many as you’d like!! No worries, hun!! And it’s morning now that I’m answering this so; Good Morning!! I hope you slept well and had a good day!! The boys say Good Morning 🖤))
I’m going to answer this a little bit differently~
((I think they’d all be relatively similar in the way that they handle it, so this sounds repetitive, but Imma write it out aNyWaY))
Psychic!Jimin: In my opinion, Jimin would be the best at this. Jimin can project calming thoughts and vibes to people, and so in a situation like this, if someone he was with or close with, was experiencing an anxiety attack or if they were nervous about something—he would sit (or stand, whatever the circumstances allow) with them, and let them know that he’s there with them. Maybe if the person doesn’t mind (because some people don’t like to be touched or hovered over when they’re having these moments) he’d hold their hand and while he’s sitting there with them, he would start projecting that calming energy to the person. He’d rub small circles on their hands, “Hey, look at me.”, and work on trying to calm them down from the inside out with the energy he’s sending. If they were just nervous or anxious about a situation or something coming up in general—that’s when I think he’d be more subtle; he’d pick up on their energy, give their hand a reassuring squeeze to let them know that he’s there and he’s with them. And sometimes that reassurance helps a lot in those situations. I think that he’d suggest talking about what triggered the anxiety—if there was a trigger—because he knows that sometimes attacks can come out of nowhere for no reason.
Vamp!Tae: Vampires are good at picking up on emotions, so I think Tae would pick up on it pretty quickly and he would try to intervene (for lack of a better word) before the peak of the attack or before the nervousness/anxiousness jump starts overthinking, making way for more anxiety stemming from that overthinking. Like Jimin, he’d go for the soft, reassuring touch; take their hand, rub circles on their back, squeeze their knee. I think Tae would even go as far as to remove them from the situation if the circumstances call for that—step outside/away, to get away from the surrounding people or environment, and if they were getting overwhelmed by an action or task, he’d have them come sit down with him—somewhere quiet, “Hey, focus on me, just me.” He’d use that intensity he has; lock his gaze with theirs, maybe take a deep breath to get them to follow along and jump start that calming, coming down effect. Like Jimin, I think Tae would ask if they wanted to discuss what the anxiety stemmed from, if there was a root, and he’d talk to them about it and through it—try and rip it up from the root if possible. He’d let them know that he’s there for them—Tae would be more that willing to sit and ride it out with them, he wants them to know that he’s there for them no matter what and that they can lean on him if they need to. He understands anxiety is hard and hard to overcome at times, so there wouldn’t be any pressure to snap back to the present—he has all the time in the world to be there for them, no matter how long it takes.
Witch!Yoongi: Yoongi comes off pretty aloof and apathetic, but truth is—he’s really good at picking up on other people’s moods and emotions—it’s just the handling part that he struggles with—he get’s awkward. I feel like at first, he’d be a little stumped, like ‘shit what do I do’, but what can he do? Other than be there with them? And so that’s what he does; he’d encourage the person to come away from the situation, environment, task, or whatever—remove that external stimuli—and be with them while this rocks out. He’s a little awkward with comfort, but he gives me a hand on the knee/back vibe, occasionally taking his hands away because he’s afraid to add to the stress of the situation. He’d try to the best of his abilities to be there for some type of support, though he might struggle with what to say or do, “Hey, it’s okay, I’m here, we can do this, it’ll be okay.” Emphasis on the ‘we’ so they know he’s there with and for them. He’d definitely gives me the type of vibe that he would use and encourage the ‘take deep breaths with me’ technique, “Let’s talk about this, rationally, your anxiety isn’t in control here—you are, what’s going on?” And if there isn’t a specific trigger—he’d just be there with them and wait until they felt like that they’re down and coming back to the present. And if they were just nervous/anxious in general, I think he’d give them a reassuring smile, “Don’t worry, we got this, we have nothing to worry about.”
Fae!Kook: Fae Persuasion. Instantly, as soon as he catches on, he’d snap his gaze to theirs, reaching out to make skin to skin contact, and talk them down. “Hey, listen to me…” And he’d say whatever fits the situation best. “We’re here, now, grounded on this earth, me and you—just me and you.” And maybe he’d even use some of that telepathy to make it seem like they really are the only two people there; he’d change the environment, change the location—take them anywhere else, within the own loop of their own mind, and stand and talk with them until they came down. Suck them out of the situation until they’re ready to come back. He’s a little spotty with emotions sometimes, he’s not always sure how to approach them, but he’d be more than open—more than willing—to listen to them talk if they wanted to talk, even if they just ramble, and if they don’t—he’d leave it at that. Sometimes just listening helps a lot. He’d hold their hand through it, talk to them about positive things, talk them out of what they were feeling, and just rewrite the situation. When he says, “You’re okay, it’s okay.” They believe it, and it works great for pulling them out of it. Is that cheating a little? Sure. Does it work? Yeah.
Necromancer!Hoseok: He deals with anxiety himself, can he handle his own anxiety? Not entirely. Would he be more than willing to help them deal with theirs? Absolutely. What does he do? The things he likes when he’s struggling with his anxiety. He shifts all of his attention to them, careful to approach them physically—not wanting to crowd and overwhelm them with his presence. “Hey...” He talks softly, calmly, “Take a deep breath, breathe it out, let it out.” He rubs small circles into their hand, “I’m here, okay? I’m right here.” He reminds them that they’re not alone, they’re grounded—they’re in the now, and this will pass. He’s gentle in the way he approaches it, “What’s going on? What has you worried?” He asks, he knows better than anyone that anxiety doesn’t always have a source, but if it does—he’ll work it out with them. But in the instances it doesn’t have a source—sometimes anxiety just needs to run its course—yeah, that sucks—but sometimes that’s all you can do. Ride it out, and he’ll ride it with them. General anxiety can be more annoying to deal with, because it’s kind of displaced and it’s just there, and so he’s just there with it; rubbing soft circles into their hand, throwing them a soft smile and nudging them. Anxiety is there, but so is he.
Werewolf!Namjoon: He gives me a mix between Tae and Hoseok; He knows anxiety, but he knows how to handle it relatively well. He’d catch on and direct their attention to him, “Hey, I’m here, focus on me.” He’d want to reach out and touch the person, asking before he did so, so that he doesn’t overload them. He’d put his hand on their back, staying by their side and riding it out with them, “Take a deep breath, come on, do it with me—we’re can do this together.” He doesn’t want to assume that he knows what they’re going through, so he doesn’t say much, but he wants them to know he’s there with them and so he stays there, rubbing circles into their skin. Like Hoseok, he knows that sometimes anxiety just has to run its course, and he lets it, making sure to stay with them while they work it through. When it’s over, he asks if they’re okay, if anything specific is bothering them, if there’s anything he can help with or do to ease the anxiety, if there’s anything they want to take about, just to get it out. He understands that he might not be able to do that—but he wants them to know he’s there and willing to help. He wants to be their support when they feel like they don’t have any.
I’m a little on the fence with this—just because I’m personally not someone who likes to be hovered over when I’m anxious, but at the same time all I want is that comfort jsfhsddskj but I think it worked out okay~~ Sorry it got kind of repetitive, but I wanted them to be able to be supportive while also incorporating their personalities/characters into it.
